THE WINES

2012 Viña Ilusión : From a 5 hectare vineyard at 700 meters elevation in the Rioja Baja subzone. It is certified organic by the EU, wild yeast fermented and bottled with less than 35 ppm SO2. This is an unoaked Tempranillo with tremendous purity and drinkability, floral notes, citrus, and a lovely mouthwatering minerality. A perfect Rioja to drink on it’s own or to pair with pizza, embutidos, grilled and roasted meats. Break out the porrón!

2013 Prana : From a 5 hectare vineyard at 700 meters elevation in the Rioja Baja subzone. It is certified organic by the EU, wild yeast fermented with about 50% going through carbonic maceration and bottled with less than 35 ppm SO2. This is perhaps even more drinkable than the Vina Illusion. Slightly lighter on the palate with the carbonic maceration adding lifted bright red fruit as well as some sappy structure to the palate. The perfect light or summer red wine. Drink on its own or pair with Asian food, cured meats or salads.
